Therapists charge by the hour, and they try to book as many sessions as possible. So they end up back-to-back. But sessions need to be wrapped up, notes finished, filed away, and the next file pulled before the following session starts. If you schedule your meetings for 60 minutes, back-to-back, you have no time for that. So long time ago, therapists started booking 50-minute hours.

And we paid for them. 1 hour worth of money, for only 50 minutes.

They became the “Therapist Hour”.

Now that we have been seamlessly jumping from one meeting to the other, we also discovered that we need some respite, and we leave a few minutes free at each meeting.

That, doesn’t turn us into therapists though.
The post The Therapist’s Hour – The Daily PPILL #142 appeared first on The ThriveMonger.
